Alice awakens to a surreal inner world pervaded by the presence of the "poison-tree".
Her sense of self is spread across a blurry line that confuses reality and virtual.
The tree stands as a by product of her actions. Amidst all the turmoil, she had nurtured the titan.
Poison-tree is an in development psychological horror game. This is just a demo preview of the first act.

Poison-tree is/was a passion project of mine. I developed it over a period of 6-8 months, learning how to do stuff along the way.
I have a lot planned for the project (story-wise) but I just feel so burnt out by it.
I'm still proud of the progress made so far, and even though the story might seem too abstract without all the external context around it, I hope you can still enjoy this little demo :).
All of the assets were exclusively made/remixed by me (textures, sfxs, ...).
Since I'm a broke 17yr old and I can't afford voice actors for a passion project at the moment , I resorted to RVC.
RVCs simply enabled me to change my voice (I still had to record myself voice acting everything). RVCs technically do not classify as generative AI, since the architecture itself isn't created through the use of big data.

I really like the game but *that* red and white part (no spoilers) was way too loud. I had to physically take my headphones off for it. Maybe add an option to turn sensitive parts down?
You are totally right. Maybe it was too big of a contrast between the "atmospheric" and "that".
This game is really good and well-made. The music and atmosphere are great too. The colors and symbolism behind everything are executed very well—it feels like a game close to Silent Hill 2 or Shattered Memories.
The puzzles are not too difficult; you just need to use your brain like a normal human being. The website with the story of the protagonist, Alice, and the poem show that the developer really put sweat and blood into this project. Even though this is just a demo of the game, I want to see the full version and find out where the story goes.

this game is absolutely mesmerizing! The atmosphere is so intense and realistic that it feels like I've stepped straight into a living nightmare. I can't wait to explore every eerie corner and uncover its dark secrets!
